On February 2, I got to witness the launching of Maybelline New York’s new iconic anthem that celebrates the confidence and beauty of empowered women all over the world. Maybelline introduces its new products in the country; the White Super Fresh Liquid Powder, Hypermatte Dip Liquid Liner, and the Creamy Matte Lipsticks. I will talk more about the new products on a separate post. For now, I’m going to share with you my experience during the Maybelline #MakeItHappen event.

In this day and age, with the fast evolving roles of women around the world, Maybelline New York has once again proven that beauty can take you places, and is best paired with utmost confidence. From the iconic battle cry of “Maybe she’s born with it, maybe it’s Maybelline,” the World’s No. 1 Make-up brand has gracefully transitioned to the new anthem that embraces the lifestyle of empowered women who never settle for anything less than the best. With its new, sophisticated, and notable line that embodies the spirit of the brand, “Make It Happen”, Maybelline New York is set to become the partner of every lady in achieving their dreams.

As a brand that propels and complements the lifestyle of motivated women around world, it is important to evolve the direction as the women’s aspirations evolve as well. The new battle cry is not just a strategic marketing move but a dedication to the bold and dynamic women who know what they want in their careers and personal life, and manage to create a balance among the worlds that they traverse.

“There has always been a misconception that make-up is a way to conceal imperfections and insecurities, or that it is the opposite of self-contentment. But we, at Maybelline New York, along with the millions of girls around the world who choose the brand as an ally, choose to see differently. We believe that women intrinsically possess the beauty, and the power to make a difference. And the purpose of make-up is not to conceal but to reveal that confidence in every girl and woman around the world,” explains Cary Noreen Co, Marketing Manager of Maybelline New York – Philippines.

Dedicated to the ladies who never cease to dream of possibilities and goals that they want to achieve, the new anthem is inspired by those who are passionate, motivated, and determined to succeed, no matter what difficulties may come their way. They are the ones who face life head on, with a smile and the confidence and beauty that make their victory possible. This anthem celebrates the moment when these women stop for a second, look at themselves in the mirror, and have the private moment when they cheer themselves and decide that yes, they can make it happen. Because the World’s No. 1 make up brand believes in women who never settle for second place.

This new direction is complemented with an expressive and well-produced video by Maybelline New York that speaks to and about the women who embody this character. “More than anyone, we at Maybelline New York understand the power of Filipinas and how women are more and more becoming the icons and influencers in the country today. We change, we inspire, and we move the country in our own ways. And this is our share in celebrating that with our anthem, Make It Happen,” she concludes.
